Temporary Part Time – until 30 November 2018

2 days per week – Thursday and Friday

$40 to $41 per hour + up to 12% super

The job

The Senior Finance Officer (Financial Reporting Team) ensures that Council's financial accounting processes and methodologies comply with relevant accounting standards and legislative requirement to support the organisation in achieving acquittal of external audit processes and an unqualified audit report.

The applicant

We are looking for applicants with demonstrated knowledge of applicable Australian Accounting Standards and the ability to prepare financial statements and sound knowledge of contemporary accounting principles and methodologies in a medium to large organisation.  Your proven achievement in the reconciliation processes of corporate systems to the general ledger and experience in job costing and general ledgers, purchasing systems and accounts payable will see you succeed in this role.

Eligibility requirements

  • Mandatory Criteria
  • Completion of tertiary qualification in business, management, finance or equivalent which allows membership to CPA Australia or equivalent or substantial and appropriate experience in a financial reporting environment to achieve the key accountabilities of the role.
