Our Federal Government client is seeking several APS4 to APS6 Policy Advisors.
  
This is an exciting opportunity to work in an area responsible for influencing improvements in education, community safety, health and wellbeing outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

You will be part of a team responsible for the provision of coordinated input to drive policy and strategy development. You may also focus on programme design and implementation across the Indigenous Affairs Group and with the Regional Network.
  
You will provide comprehensive policy advice and be able to respond quickly to competing priorities as they emerge. You will need to be able to quickly develop and maintain a strong and detailed understanding of a range of programmes and services delivered for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in regional and remote communities.
  
Experience/or qualifications in social or economic policy or program delivery and implementation would be well regarded. Your judgement, analytical skills and ability to develop and maintain strong relationships both within and external to the Department will be critical in these positions. You may need to be able to identify and build on opportunities for collaboration and joint problem solving to establish an integrated approach to service delivery within a geographical region. We will also require you to be able to interpret government and agency policies and direction, to communicate this to staff to ensure that work occurs in line with these directions.
  
Successful candidates need to be able to work in a sensitive team environment and may work on overarching policy development or directly on policies such as those relating to early childhood development, schools, health and gender issues as well as challenging topics.
