About us
Corrections Victoria's purpose is to deliver an effective corrections system for a safe community. Community Correctional Services (CCS), is overseen by Corrections Victoria, a division of the Department of Justice and Regulation. CCS is responsible for the management and supervision of prisoners on parole, offenders under post sentence supervision and court orders.
Community Correctional Services is currently experiencing rapid growth in the offender population. In response to this, Corrections Victoria will embed evidence based practice across all areas of our work and target responses to the areas that will allow the greatest impacts to be made. This approach will contribute to a safer community and strengthen CCS for the future.
About the role
Based in Shepparton, you will oversee the operations of Community Correctional Services including having direct oversight of the court order management and court services teams. You will play a key role in developing community partnerships with the courts and local police.
You will be required to participate in the "on call" after hours Duty Director system as rostered.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- extensive case management experience with complex and high risk clients
- extensive understanding of best practice risk minimisation and therapeutic initiatives
- experience in managing teams and resources ensuring smooth delivery of services
- an ability to monitor financial performance, resource and staffing requirements.
A relevant qualification in social work, human services or criminal justice discipline, with work experience in a similar field is also desirable.
