Randstad are looking for a Policy Advisor for a Victorian State Government department based in the CBD. The position is initially a 6 month contract with the potential to be extended dependent on project needs.

The role will focus on corporate strategy, a background in this area would be beneficial, however this is not essential and other policy backgrounds will be considered. Particularly from those have extensive government policy background.

The successful candidate will have strong stakeholder communication skills and the ability to converse at all levels. You will be responsible for engaging with multiple stakeholders internally and also with other government departments, and commercial enterprise. Strong Project Management skills will also be highly beneficial in this role.

You will be responsible for writing and advising on new policy, and advising ways to improve existing policy. You will be responsible for high quality report writing surrounding this and providing this to senior level management. Alongside this you will need to provide advice to the senior level management team.

To be successful in this role you will have a demonstrated understanding of policy and will have worked in this area in some capacity previously.

The role is a VPS 5 position and candidates will need to be able to commit to the full duration of the contract.
