This is a fantastic opportunity to support and establish a new child psychology service within the Child Health & Development Team. Bellarine Community Health is a major provider of primary health services to the Bellarine Peninsula operating from five health centres in Drysdale, Ocean Grove, Point Lonsdale and Portarlington and employs over 135 health specialist and support service staff in full-time, part-time and casual roles. There is an increase in demand for services from the community and through funding of the NDIS plans. The majority of clients will present from under resourced families throughout the eight different communities along the Bellarine township. A percentage of clients have NDIS plans and some will present with development delays and diagnosis. A high percentage of children present with ASD. 

Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team you will provide evidence based assessment, treatment and intervention services to children between 0-12 years.

Key Selection requirements:

  • Post graduate qualification in psychology (masters or doctorate)
  • Current full registration as a Psychologist with AHPRA
  • Demonstrated knowledge, understanding and experience in current child developmental with family centered practice
  • Demonstrated experience in the assessment, formulation, and treatment of children with a wide range of presenting concerns
  • Experience in developing strategies for clinical priority and demand within a community setting
  • Experience in planning and delivering group therapy programs for complex families
  • Knowledge and experience in working with children diagnosed with Autism
  • Current Victoria Drivers License
  • National Police Check/ Working with Children's Check
