The Position
This role is responsible for the effective and innovative leadership and management of the Open Space and Environmental Services portfolio. You will lead our people to create and deliver the best possible environment for our community.
Some of your initial focus areas will include:
- Establishing a new division focused on creating a world class environment.
- Leading the implementation of the Urban Greening Strategy.
- Leading best practice approaches for the ongoing operation, development and maintenance of Council’s waste services.
- Improving the customer experience along with driving employee engagement initiatives.
- Providing active leadership and direction to develop a high performing, stakeholder and team focused culture.
- Championing organisational change and reform ensuring the corporate vision is supported.
- Leading future planning and delivery of our four (4) year program.
Your success in this role will be demonstrated through your ability to lead strategically and achieve high quality outcomes and results for the organisation. You will have strong communication, interpersonal, influencing and negotiation skills with an ability to engage across all levels of the business.
