This Commonwealth Government is currently seeking three APS 6 level contractors for a 12 month period to work in their Program Design team in Canberra. This team is responsible for designing the grants administration process and ensuring that intended program objectives are achieved. 

As this is a 12 month contract, the roles will suit someone seeking a long-term commitment, with high energy and ability to juggle changing priorities. The role includes assisting in representing the needs of both the Department and client agencies, liaising with stakeholders, delivering high quality services and collaborating with other team members. 

The duties for this position are set out below:

• Assist in the design for grant programs that meet the needs of client agencies, including:
  • Developing Grant Opportunity Guidlines
  • Facilitating risk assessments for grant programs
  • Ensuring grant processes are compliant with the Commonwealth grants framework and associated legislative requirements
• Establish and maintain relationships with stakeholders both internal and external to the hub
• Assist in providing advice and support to client agencies in navigating the grants program delivery model
• Provide guidance on the grants selection and assessment process
• Work with internal enabling areas and personnel to monitor the progress of grant round activities and provide ongoing communication with client agencies on the progress of work
