About the Role
Are you an organised and motivated individual? Do you have excellent administrative and customer service skills?
This position is responsible for assisting in the issuing of rates and charges in accordance with valuations provided, the Local Government Act 1993 and Council policy and resolution.
Key areas of accountability for this position include:
- Assist with the levy of applicable Rates, Water, Sewer and Waste Charges and issue Rates Notices, Supplementary Rates Notices and Quarterly Instalment Notices in accordance with legislative requirements
- Assist in ensuring Valuations reflect those held by the Valuer General and assist in maintaining and balancing the valuation register
- Provide support for all services delivered by the Revenue Accounting team
Essential Selection Criteria
- Demonstrated high levels of administrative, organisational and customer service skills
- Effective written and oral communication skills
- Knowledge and experience in the use of PC based office application software especially Microsoft applications including Word and Excel
Desirable Selection Criteria
- Demonstrated experience in carrying out revenue related functions within a large Council or a similar large organisation with knowledge of Rating Provisions of the Local Government Act, 1993
- Certificate IV in Business, Finance, Administration or relevant discipline
- Completion of modules 1-3 of NSW Revenue Professionals Training courses

Salary: $54,844-$63,738 per annum plus superannuation
