About Information Management Services

The Information Management Services (IMS) team are subject matter experts and advisors in information and records management. The focus is on being drivers, coordinators and enablers of information management improvements and initiatives across the department in a centre-led (not centralized) model.

 

About the Opportunity

The Senior Business Analyst, EDRMS is responsible for analysis and planning of continual improvement of the Objective Electronic Document & Records Management System (EDRMS) within the Attorney-General’s Department.

The role is required to facilitate an understanding of business requirements to assist in the EDRMS implementation, and development of workflows and other AGD business efficiency opportunities in the Objective EDRMS.

The incumbent will contribute to the effectiveness of the EDRMS Project through active participation in project activities as instructed by the Project Manager. They will also be prepared to acquire and retain levels of knowledge of other project areas outside the role’s direct responsibility.

Duties and responsibilities include:

  • Business analysis, project management support
  • Review business processes and document requirements
  • Ensure business requirements, EDRMS and information management requirements are aligned, and solutions implemented in a user friendly way
  • Effectively translate business requirements into functional requirements
  • Identify business process improvement opportunities
  • Design business process improvement changes, procedures and business rules in collaboration with key staff/vendor
  • Align changes with reporting requirements and KPI’s where necessary
  • Under broad direction, develop cost-benefit analyses and benchmarking for business process improvements
  • Analyse data and report on success measures
  • Build effective working relationships with stakeholders and vendor and manage the scope of changes, and stakeholder expectations
  • Support effective change management strategies
  • Support effective risk management strategies
  • Develop test scripts
  • Where applicable, develop training material and deliver training
  • Undertake other activities as required by AGD, with broad direction

We are seeking a professional, positive and confident business analyst who will collaborate closely with key business staff, build effective working relationships and listen and communicate clearly regarding business requirements. You will maintain professionalism and confidentiality in all dealings, and be able to translate strategies and goals into achievable continuous improvement plans, demonstrating a high quality customer service attitude. You will be willing to adapt to changing needs, and demonstrate a strong aptitude for abstract reasoning. You will be able to maintain strong resilience while managing multiple concurrent tasks and dealing with competing pressures, multiple stakeholders and tight timeframes.

  

Special Conditions for Employment

Employment is dependent upon a National Police Certificate clearance that the AGD finds satisfactory. Successful applicants will be advised to submit their National Police Check Application form, including certified identification documents, to the AGD if an interview is requested. The form is not to be lodged directly with SA Police (SAPOL) under any circumstances and any fees incurred by applicants in doing so will not be recoverable from the AGD.
