Renmark Paringa Council is located in the picturesque Riverland region of South Australia.
With established sectors in tourism, agriculture and viticulture, the Riverland is Australia’s
largest wine grape producing region and South Australia’s central fruit growing area. The
Renmark Paringa Council districts sits adjacent to the Victoria border with a population of
over 9,000 residents.

An exciting opportunity exists for a Director Infrastructure & Environmental Services to join
the team.

The main responsibilities are:

• Coordinate and manage the Infrastructure & Environmental Services functions
• Contribute to the formulation of policy & strategic plans
• Develop directorate performance objectives in line with strategic objectives
• Ensuring Council’s statutory responsibilities are achieved
• Oversee the process of reviewing and updating key strategic document
• The preparation and delivery of strategic infrastructure management projects

To be successful in this role you will have a proven record in:

• Current legislation and standards relating to asset management and regulatory services
• Preparation of Infrastructure and Asset Management Plans
• Management of compliance issues
• Strong team leadership and driving organisational change
• Negotiation and consultation with governments & public utilities
• Management of both strategic and day to day tasks
• Financial management and policy administration
