- Temporary full time position until 19/03/2021 with a possibilty of an extension in a great location.
- Salary in the range of $82,979 to $90,621 per annum excluding superannuation.

In the role of Town Planner you will be involved in corridor planning, development control and network management with respect to the region’s state controlled road network and provide specialist town planning and development assessment advice.
Accountabilities include:
- Review state and local government planning documents to assess their implications for Transport and Main Roads, and provide response to those documents on behalf of the Region.
- Provide specialist advice in respect to the application of the Planning Act and State Development Assessment Code.
- Assist in the identification and provide advice on modifications or adaption’s to town planning documents
- Manage projects throughout their life cycle to ensure the Department’s interests are appropriately managed.
- Assist in the co-ordination of all relevant tasks to ensure successful completion of activities within time, quality, cost and stakeholders expectations.
- Apply relevant standards, policies, guidelines and legislative requirements in respect to development assessments and transport planning.
- Liaise and consult with a range of internal and external stakeholders on matters relating to road infrastructure development activities in the region.
- This role reports to the Principal Advisor (Development Assessment & Corridor Management).
