Kelly Services is seeking to engage with a qualified and experienced Security Training Officer for one of our government based clients in Canberra. The successful candidate will undertake a variety of tasks relevant to the design, development and delivery of security training and communication material to improve the department’s security culture and awareness. They are also responsible for managing and maintaining the Security Branch’s Intranet pages.

Key Accountabilities:

• Research, design, and develop eLearning products

• Research, develop and deliver facilitated training

• Facilitate face to face sessions to educate and inform departmental staff to promote understanding and ensure adherence to security processes

• Promote security awareness and culture across the department

• Prepare security awareness communications products, including articles, posters, guides, etc

• Develop and support complex relationships with stakeholders to achieve work area goals

• Monitor, track and report on the status of security training and awareness deliverables

• Represent the work area by promoting its interests at community and cross agency levels

Criteria for Selection:

• Proven work experience as a Security Training Officer or similar role

• Proficiency in Microsoft tools, particularly Word, Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint, eLearning tools, particularly Adobe applications including Captivate and Photoshop

• Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF) and the department’s Protective Security policies, frameworks, advisories and guidelines

• Must have current Baseline Security Clearance, with the possibility of needing to obtain and maintain a Negative Vetting Level 1 Security Clearance if required.
