Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced permanent full time Talent Culture and Performance Specialist to join the People, Culture and Safety Group, based in Gladstone.

The position plays a key role in contributing to the effective strategic and operational workplace health, safety and wellness performance of Council.  The purpose of this position is to build leadership and organisational capability in ensuring a safe and healthy working environment for all employees.

About you

1. Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Organisational Psychology or related discipline.

2. Demonstrated experience developing People Strategies to build a successful high performing organisation.

3. Demonstrated experience in developing culture and performance frameworks that have successfully delivered high performing cultures in a multi-disciplinary, complex working environment.

4. Comprehensive knowledge of and experience interpreting and applying legislation, awards, industrial instruments and workplace policies as it relates to the learning and development function.

5. Applied Expertise in delivering blended learning solutions, face to face and virtual environments with the ability to execute through software tools.

6. Demonstrated experience in the development and implementation of talent management frameworks, such as talent identification, performance management and succession planning.

7. Demonstrated collaborative engagement approach with leaders and customer groups to facilitate proactive HR solutions in building capability.

8. Proficient keyboard skills and experience using Microsoft Office Suite and corporate business systems.

9. Legally able to drive a motor vehicle in Queensland.
