Assistant Educator

About the role:
At C&K Emerald South Community Pre-Schooling Centre, which is located in Central QLD a position has become available for an experienced and qualified Assistant to join the Centre. The Assistant is responsible for implementing a quality care and education program for young children. Your duties will include assisting in the implementation of C&K's Building waterfalls and the documentation that supports this to ensure that it makes each child's learning visible through portfolio's, engages in reflective practice, undertakes assessment to enrich children's learning and creates collaborative partnerships.
 
This position is Permanent Full Time working 40 hours a week. You will be required to work 8:30am - 5:30pm each day. Your position will be a Float cover position working across all age groups where needed. Come join a dedicated team of early childhood educators and make a difference.
 
Ideal candidates will hold and have the ability to:

• Hold a Certificate III in Children's Services or higher (or equivalent qualification recognised by ACECQA) or studying towards your qualification
• Experience working with children from 2-3 years old
• Assist in the implementation of C&K's Building waterfalls and the documentation that supports this to ensure that it makes each child's learning visible through portfolio's, engages in reflective practice, undertakes assessment to enrich children's learning and creates collaborative partnerships
• Demonstrate effective supervision skills of children
• An ability to work as an effective team member
