Working within our friendly and supportive community health service, you will contribute to the provision of Day Program activities for aged and disabled persons living in the Port Broughton area. Planning day program activities for participants, you will ensure the delivery of social support in line with Commonwealth Home Support Program guidelines. You will also plan, organise and provide diversional therapy for Aged Day Program participants in conjunction with the Diversional Therapist. As part of your role, you will assist the Mid North Volunteer Coordinator with the day to day management of Port Broughton based volunteers. This will include recruitment of volunteers, along with leading, planning and participating in volunteer training programs. You will have prior experience in working with aged or disabled persons in a day program setting, and have worked with or as a volunteer in a rural health location. You will have great interpersonal and customer service skills, along with the ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing with staff at all levels and a diverse range of people. You will work well both autonomously and as part of a team, managing time and prioritising tasks effectively.
