You will provide comprehensive cardiac care to patients within the Cardiology Unit at the Flinders Medical Centre. The Echocardiographic services you provide will include Transthoracic Echocardiography, Stress Echocardiography, and Transoesophageal Echocardiography. You will be responsible for clinical service provision of inpatient ward work, outpatient clinics, teaching of undergraduates and postgraduates, administrative tasks, research projects and involvement in professional and community service activities. In addition to services in the Southern Adelaide Local Health Network, you may be required to provide outreach services to country South Australia and the Northern Territory. Flinders Medical Centre (FMC) is the southern area's largest hospital providing medical services for the southern population of Adelaide and major regional rural centres. The flagship hospital for southern Adelaide, FMC has recently undergone an exciting period of redevelopment, with $185 million invested in new, state-of-the-art health facilities.

Holding a Bachelor of Medicine; Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent, you will be registrable with the Medical Board of Australia as a Medical Practitioner with General Registration. With a proven track record in Cardiovascular Medicine and teaching in a public hospital environment, you will have documented experience in providing echocardiographic services including transthoracic echo, consistent with the CSANZ criteria for Advanced Trainees. Along with your excellent clinical skills and ability to prioritise patient care, you will display an interest in clinical research and a willingness to provide medical teaching to students.
