In this role as Audit Manager you will be responsible for performing and managing operational, information technology (IT), financial, and compliance audits, special projects, fraud and corruption prevention investigations. You will ensure compliance with relevant legislation, regulations and policy, while adding value to the efficiency, effectiveness, economy and probity of operations.
To be successful for this position you will have considerable experience in managing a variety of audit investigations. You must be CA or CPA qualified with five to eight years previous audit experience in Big - 4 or equivalent experience performing operational audits, compliance reviews and assurance work. Experience building and managing stakeholder relationships, experience in people management, setting performance goals and objectives, delivering feedback and coaching and extensive experience working in a complex and diverse organisation preferably but not limited to public sector is essential.
 
This role will also involve the below;
  • Manage and conduct diverse and complex operational, IT, financial and other compliance audits; fraud and prevention strategies, special projects, and investigations across the agency ensuring compliance with the Audit Charter and the objectives of the Annual Audit Plan
  • Provide timely, high level and specialist advice to the Director Audit on strategic audit and corporate issues across the Department regarding governance and risk
  • Manage a professional ?assurance report service? including the preparation, coordination, collation and distribution of various business papers for quarterly reporting to the Audit and Risk Committee(s)
  • Contribute to the development of the Annual Audit Plan and Internal Audit business planning
  • Strong people management, project management and professional report writing skills
  • Demonstrated ability to critically analyse, conceptual think and problem solve.
  • Demonstrated high level of oral, written and presentation communication and negotiation skills.
  • Broad experience in fraud and corruption investigation techniques and procedures.

Salary Grade 11/12 maximum salary package is up to $160 189. Package includes salary {$124 965 -$144,521} and employer?s contribution to superannuation, commensurate with skills and experience.
