Please note: it is anticipated appointment will be for a contract of up to 3 years.

Your responsibilities will include

Managing Council’s Infrastructure Planning department. This will involve driving organisational change to deliver infrastructure services efficiently and effectively to meet the needs of the council, legislative requirements and relevant standards. Together with providing leadership and management of the department’s staff and resources.  

Reporting to the Director of Engineering, Construction and Maintenance this role accepts responsibility as Council’s asset owner.  As the asset owner you will be responsible for driving the key functions of:

  • Asset Management
  • Parks and Recreation Planning
  • Drainage, Waterways and Coastal Planning
  • Pavement Planning
  • Buildings and Facilities Planning
  • Infrastructure Design
  • Survey Services 

To be successful in this role you must possess

Extensive experience in a senior Local Government role, exceptional leadership capabilities and broad engineering and technical service delivery experience.  You will hold RPEQ certification, a civil engineering degree, and comprehensive knowledge of civil engineering standards and practices.

Work Location

Please note that whilst the current work location for this position is specified above, staff may be required to transfer to any of council's work locations with notice. Council currently has administration offices located at Caboolture, Strathpine and Redcliffe as well as depots, libraries and a range of other facilities located throughout the region.
