The Role
An opportunity has become available for a Nurse Educator to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 9000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to over 550,000 people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region.
You will take responsibility for
- Developing educational processes underpinned by relevant legislation and guidelines which support safe, contemporary evidence based nursing practice and standards
- Working closely with the Nurse Unit Managers and Clinical Facilitators to enhance growth and development of staff
- Ensuring that corporate operations, policies and procedures comply with and are implemented in accordance with the relevant legislation and statutory requirements including Queensland standards and guidelines, and Corporate and District policies
Requirements for the role
- A Bachelor of Nursing, Midwifery or equivalent is mandatory for this position
- Nursing registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency is also required
- Employees are required to be, and remain, vaccinated against the following preventable diseases: measles, mumps, rubella, varicella (chicken pox), pertussis (whooping cough) and hepatitis B
- A Masters qualification which includes Education, along with experience in senior nursing positions is highly desirable

Salary information
- Permanent full time
- Base salary ranging from $107 804 - $117 037 per annum
- Up to 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
- 17.5% leave loading
About the Unit
The Neurology Services and Rehabilitation Unit consists of a comprehensive multidisciplinary team who provide inpatient, outpatient and community services. The team provide specialist acute and rehabilitation services for patients with a range of functional impairments as a result of a recent acute illness, trauma or injury.
