About the Position
Are you excited by driving change, engaging with people and solving problems? Planning and Regulatory Services are looking for a competent and dedicated Education Officer to join their team. In this newly created role you will assist in developing and implementing programs to raise community awareness in relation to legislation, policies and procedures relevant to the Planning and Regulatory Services Section.
In this role you will analyse and pilot creative education campaigns and provide educational materials and presentations to schools, professional and community groups and Council staff while simultaneously providing administrative assistance.
A Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (or related discipline) would be beneficial for this postion.
This position requires the completion of a satisfactory Criminal History Check - Police Certificate (Australia Wide Name Only Police Check).
About You
To be successful in this position you will possess the following position requirements:
- Knowledge and experience in the planning, development and delivery of education and promotional campaigns, including the ability to research, analyse and pilot creative education campaigns.
- Communication and interpersonal skills with a commitment and passion for community education including public speaking.
- Time management, planning and organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Experience working with government, community groups and academic institutions through community education programs.
