About the role
A fantastic opportunity exists for someone to join the Parramatta River Catchment Group (PRCG) as our Parramatta River Riverkeeper to engage with and support the community in helping to make the Parramatta River swimmable again.

We are seeking a proactive, community-minded person with excellent networking and people skills and natural resource management experience to deliver our Riverkeeper program across the Parramatta River catchment. This 3 day a week role will work closely with the PRCG, in partnership with Greater Sydney Landcare Network, to deliver this program as part of the Our Living River initiative (www.ourlivingriver.com.au).

The Parramatta River Catchment Group is a partnership of councils, government agencies and community groups who share the mission to make the Parramatta River swimmable again by 2025. The Parramatta River Riverkeeper will grow and support a network of community volunteers, ambassadors, affiliate organisations and projects to help us achieve this shared mission. They will also develop the program as a high profile pilot demonstration to inform programs in other urban areas across Sydney and Australia.

This 3 day a week position is currently fixed term, with the successful candidate to be employed until June 2019.

We are offering an attractive salary from $79,831 p.a. pro-rata plus Super. City of Parramatta also offer excellent employee benefits which can be accessed by the successful candidate.
