The opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity for an Asset Development Leader to be a part of our Sydney precinct team within Roads and Maritime Services.
The Asset Development Leader is responsible for coordinating the development of asset renewal projects and ensuring optimum performance and integration for Sydney?s arterial road network in line with defined strategies and objectives. The role facilitates development of the precinct asset program, prioritsation, coordination with network enhancement initiatives and assesses project designs from an asset life cycle perspective to ensure value for money outcomes.

The salary for this position is USS Grade 11 ($135,443- $ 144,521) per annum plus superannuation and leave loading.
Essential requirements
We are looking for a civil or transport engineer with an extensive knowledge and experience in asset management; and some experience in traffic engineering. You would have demonstrated experience in asset whole of life and risk management principals and would be able to apply this to the development of road corridor management strategies and long term forward programs of Roads and Maritime Services.
You would have worked on investigation of asset management and development; as also in assessing major road and road related projects from a whole of life asset perspective in their development or construction. Prior experience in working in the public sector working on complex asset, traffic, safety and congestion projects would be highly desirable.
