The role is critical to ensure effective day to day management of the RFA program of works, ensuring the program's outcomes are achieved, identifying and mitigating program risks and issues and ensuring project outputs are achieved within established budgets and timeframes. The position will also support work unit colleagues in the Victorian Forest Monitoring Program, forest and fire research governance, and fire management auditing and performance; fire monitoring program and the DELWP Pre-harvest Survey Program.

The role is suited to a self-motivated individual with excellent project, relationship and stakeholder management skills with an understanding of the application of forest inventory analysis and modelling, spatial data management and in a natural resource management context.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of, and be able to clearly articulate their experience and knowledge in regard to the collection, collation and analysis of spatial and non-spatial data related to Victorian forest values; and how these can be integrated to support and inform the development of a modernised RFA.

Ideally, the successful candidate will also possess demonstrated experience in project and contract management; strong verbal and written communication skills; excellent relationship management skills and a natural resource management background.

This is a fixed term position available until 30th June 2020.
