My client is one of the largest government organisations on the journey to expand to meet increased and demanding needsin NSW. They focus on providing the best quality and service through NSW with operations in warehousing, logistics, payroll and financial services. Their continuing growth and receive investment to become a fully synergized business unit.
The position will co-ordinate tendering and contracting services to all Service Centres in a timely, relevant and accurate manner in accordance with government regulations and to meet the obligations of the NSW Organisationand its customers. The position will also be the primary contact for all customers in relation to guidance on tendering and contract matters
The role
  • Lead the process of identifying improvements in the processing and provision of services and supporting the implementation of changes, initiatives or new programs within the tendering and Contact Unit
  • Liaising with vendors to ensure that relevant procurement contractual obligations are being met to agreed service standards
  • Manage allocated contract implementation and transition activities, including management of supplier and Customer activities
  • The day to day delivery of Tenders and Contracts activities, ensuring the services provided are timely, effective and efficient
  • Ensure that tenders and quotations activities are carried out accurately and with due regard to probity requirements
  • Maintaining and filing comprehensive electronic and paper based documentation to facilitate effective contract management and compliance with relevant audit requirements
  • Lead and mentor customer nominated staff at all levels and over multiple sites to progress individual tender processes, including convening and participating in tender working parties
  • Monitoring and managing contract performance in accordance with agreed terms and conditions.
 
What you need
 
  • Qualifications in tendering and contract management
  • Demonstrated excellent organisational skills and experience working in a high volume and demanding professional environment
  • Sound problem-solving and conceptual skills and forward thinking approach including the ability to analyse and interpret information, use of excellent written communication to prepare correspondence/reports, tender and contract documents and deal with challenges creatively and achieve business focused solutions. 
  • Proven sound engagement, verbal communication, collaboration and customer service skills with the capability to build and maintain positive relationships with customers and stakeholders;
  • Proven capacity to lead the tendering and contracting initiatives and support implementation through teamwork and collaboration.
  • Proven capacity to apply probity requirements to the tendering and contracting process in a large diverse service industry organisation and/or relevant qualifications or equivalent.
  • Excellent keyboard skills and demonstrated experience in creating and formatting documents using MS Office Software, and computer based information systems
  • Capacity and willingness, including current NSW driver’s license
