The Opportunity
This national Federal Government Agency is looking for an experienced EL1 (senior manager equivalent) candidate to contribute to the business areas planning and reporting capability to support various project initiatives.
Offering a 12 month non ongoing (fixed term contract) with pro rata leave this position also offers flexible work arrangements such as reduced hours and or part time as well as working from home. The role will be ideally based in Dandenong but can also be considered in Box Hill or Moonee Ponds.

Role Details
This particular program with in the broader agency leads the data and analytics needs. The program seeks to enable the agency to use data in smarter ways to improve decisions, services and compliance.
The program focus is to use data and analytics to support transforming the client experience by tailoring interactions to the client’s circumstances and to streamline internal interactions. The program also seeks to use data and analytics to make internal processes more efficient by automating many business processes. The work will be focused on planning and managing several strategic initiatives under the data and analytics program to make the organisation a more data-driven client-centric organisation.
Key Accountabilities
As an EL1 Planning and Reporting Manager you will be accountable for:
- Manage the development of capability for planning and reporting to ensure efficient, effective and contemporary products and services
- Manage the development and delivery of a range of corporate plans and reports, coordinating integration and alignment across the organisation
- Communicate and make balanced decisions using judgement, evaluating information, factoring in risks and being sensitive to the context to develop and maintain high standard of reporting and planning products
- Provide expert advice on a range of planning and reporting issues, activities and objectives to inform decision making on organisational-wide strategies and operations
- Analyse business intelligence to identify corporate risks, collaborate with and assist business to develop strategies and rigorous governance processes
- Influence development or modification of policy and processes and promote continuous improvement
- Ensure quality support for stakeholders across a range of products and services
- Lead change and demonstrate flexibility
Required experience

To be considered you will have:
- Experience within project management
- Demonstrated experience within a leadership role
- Experience with EDH (Enterprise Data Hub) would be advantageous
- Demonstrated experience in implementing an IT / analytics solution
- Capability to support project management of a large change initiative
- Demonstrated ability to coach, mentor and manage in particular around building capabilities within the team
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
