About us

The Barwon South West Region (BSWR) provides a range of services from the Justice Service Centres located in Geelong and Warrnambool, and through reporting centres in Colac, Hamilton and Portland.

The region also has a prison precinct that currently includes two prisons, the maximum security HM Prison Barwon and medium security Marngoneet Correctional Centre (includes the Karreenga annex).

In addition to the custodial services provided at our prisons, Regional Justice Service Centres provide Community Correctional Services, Sheriff's Operations, Youth Justice Offender Behaviour Programs, Consumer Affairs, Births Deaths and Marriages, Dispute Settlement Centre, and Regional Aboriginal Justice Advisory Committee.

About the role

Reporting to the General Manager, Corporate Services, the Business Support Supervisor is responsible for leading and managing a team of Justice Officers ensuring the delivery of high quality and efficient business support services to the BSW Region. The Business Support Team provide advice and support on a range of services including but not limited to, reception, fleet, corporate records, mail, Justice Service centre security and maintenance, stationery, purchasing, customer service delivery and region wide business area administration support services.

The Business Support Supervisor is part of the corporate services team, supporting service delivery for the BSW Region of the Department of Justice. Corporate Services is responsible for providing the BSW Region with a range of corporate support functions including Human Resources, Finance and Procurement, Facilities Management, Administration and Workforce Development.
