Spatial Services, a division of the Department of Finance, Service and Innovation, is the key provider of spatial land information services in New South Wales. Spatial Services' integrated framework connects the people of NSW to a comprehensive package of land and property services including property information, surveying and mapping. Spatial Services' provides land information services to individuals, businesses, government agencies and non-profit organisations throughout NSW, Australia and internationally.

Reporting to the Team Leader Spatial Client Services, you will contribute to business development activities by building productive relationships with clients and stakeholders to promote and support delivery of Spatial Services products and services.

 

The successful candidate will maintain productive working relationships internally across Spatial Services and externally across government and industry. Develop an appreciation of client needs while at the same time have a sound understanding of Spatial Services mandate as a government agency and its capability and capacity to meet these needs.  Keeping up to date with trends and directions that could offer business development opportunities for Spatial Services products and services and being able to successfully promote these opportunities within the organisation.

 

To be successful in the position you will have:

·       Appropriate tertiary qualifications in business sales and marketing and/or demonstrated industry experience would be desirable

·       research, project management and problem solving skills

·       An understanding of the Spatial industry, spatial data themes and their applications

·       Provide support with analytics

·       Require sound records and customer management using TRIM, CRM or similar applications

  • High level interpersonal and communicative skills (written, verbal, telephone) with a clear ability to project a positive image, and effectively liaise and foster positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders

Salary: Departmental Officer Grade 5/6, maximum salary package up to $99,522p.a. Package includes salary ($81,369– $89,781p.a.), and employer’s contribution to superannuation, commensurate with skills and experience.
