Are you a student wanting to gain valuable working experience within the statutory urban planning industry? Are you an individual who’s passionate about making a difference?

If so, Moonee Valley City Council’s Statutory Planning Department is seeking a motivated and driven student to fulfil the position of Planning Assistant. Within this position, you will be part of a motivating and supportive team where, under supervision, you will be able to apply your theory based knowledge on industry-based projects including recording, notification and general processing and limited assessment of Town Planning, and Subdivision Applications.

Further to the above, you will have a customer service focus within this position by responding to queries in a courteous and professional manner at the public counter, handling written and telephone enquiries and providing accurate planning advice in accordance with Council’s planning responsibilities and policies.

To be successful for this position you will be enrolled in a recognised planning degree. Statutory planning experience is desirable.
