InforMH is a devolved unit of the Ministry of Health located on the Macquarie Hospital Campus at North Ryde. The unit is involved with the collection, analysis and reporting of Mental Health data across NSW Health.

What you'll be doing

InforMH is a devolved Ministry of Health unit located on the Macquarie Hospital campus and administratively managed by NSLHD Mental Health Drug and Alcohol. InforMH is a team of System Information and Analytics Branch (SIA) and support Mental Health and Drug and Alcohol state level processes and reporting as directed by the MoH.

The specialised work of Senior Systems and Development is to design, develop and maintain databases and environments to support a range of Mental Health specific collections and reporting processes managed by InforMH. This work also includes the development of automated reporting. These collections include Seclusion and Restraint, YES, CLS, HASI and RRSP. New collections being developed and existing ones which are evolving will require the support of the position. This system also builds and maintains SQL databases for a range of Qlik reporting applications. 


Employees must abide by the NSW Health Code of Conduct. Criminal record checks will be undertaken on successful applicants and applicants for positions designated as Category A will be required to obtain required vaccinations prior to commencing employment. 

 

Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:       

  1. Consistently demonstrates behaviours that reinforce the CORE Values of our organisation; Collaboration, Openness, Respect and Empowerment. Demonstrates these behaviours with all stakeholders; colleagues, direct reports, as well as our patients and consumers, and those that care for them.
  2. Demonstrated experience in developing, maintaining and administration of SQL Server and Microsoft Access databases and skills in VBA scripting.
  3. Demonstrated experience in developing reports using a variety of tools such as MS Access, SQL, SAS, Qlik to meet business requirements.
  4. Experience in analysing data with respect to data integrity, and demonstrated analytical, diagnostic and technical skills to support data quality and compliance.
  5. Demonstrated experience and expertise in the provision of help desk assistance in respect to information systems.
  6. Demonstrated ability to display initiative, sound organisational skills, capacity to multitask, meet deadlines and prioritise work in a high volume work area.
  7. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  8. Appropriate tertiary qualifications or demonstrated, equivalent, relevant industry experience.
