Kelly Government Solutions are a leading supplier of recruitment solutions to Local, State & Federal Government. We are looking to secure the services of a Property Asset Engineer for a 10-month contract role with a possibility of going permanent, based in Sydney. The primary purpose of the role is to implement best practice asset management to ensure that all Council property is managed to maximise the benefit to Council, the community and facility users.

Key Responsibilities:

· Assisting the delivery of maintenance management systems;

· Producing data analysis reports using various systems;

· Supporting all technical areas of the program as required;

· Assisting with condition and compliance audits, the maintenance of information and undertaking of detailed analysis;

· Undertaking analysis and making recommendations on asset renewal and maintenance to Infrastructure program;

· Assisting with the development and implementation of service standards, service levels and maintenance standards for reactive and proactive works;

· Complying with the Local Government Code of Conduct for Council Employees at all times

Criteria for selection

• A tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering or related field and/or commensurate demonstrated experience in lieu of formal qualifications.

• Ability to read and understand standard financial reporting including budgeting and ledger transaction lists.

• Demonstrated experience in the use of corporate asset systems, financial systems and workflow management. Competence in interpreting technical information and giving direction based on this.

• Knowledge of asset management requirements.

• Understanding of project management principles and their application.

• Hold a current NSW Driver’s Licence.
