An exciting opportunity exists in the Community Compliance Unit for a suitable person to join a team of Local Laws/Animal Management Officers.

Key responsibilities of the role:

  • Contribute to the maintenance and improvement of residential amenity and environmental standards within the municipality, through the enforcement of legislative controls relating to animal control; land use; public health; local law activity; fire prevention; school crossing supervision and public safety.
  • Assist with the co-ordination of Council's Animal Management service.
  • Assist with the Council’s Municipal Fire Prevention Strategy.
  • Undertake education of the community and general public in regard to policies and legislation governing animal control; litter and the environment; Council local laws; fire prevention; commercial use of public space and matters of public safety.
