The Compliance Officer role assists the environmental health team with environmental and public health complaint investigations, caravan park regulation and other inspection roles.
There is scope for work in our illegal dumping project and other environmental initiatives.
While not essential qualifications in environmental science and environmental health will be valued. Recent graduates are also encouraged to apply as on the job training is provided.
Our team are highly motivated to continue to expand what is possible in Environmental Health for our community and we are looking for a dynamic, team focused environmental or health professional with great communication, teamwork and collaboration skills, to join us.
This is a 12 month contract however there may be an opportunity to extent the role or a possibility that the role may become permanent in the future, depending on the operational needs of Council.

We are seeking:
- Experience in local government legislation and policy interpretation
- Sound knowledge of operation of Caravan Park and Manufactured Home Estates
- Conflict resolution and complaint investigation experience.
Where it's located:
This position is based in Murwillumbah, and can be directed to work from any Council work site.
