Our client is a centralised, NSW public sector enterprise that is based in modern offices in Sydney CBD 

They have an exciting opportunity for a Procurement Project Manager to be a part of their Advocacy and Strategic Project team

Duties include:

  • Work as part of a cross-government project team tasked with ensuring the NSW Government’s faster payment terms policy proposals are rolled out across all departments
  • Engage and negotiate with senior procurement staff across all departmentss to facilitate and support achieving payment targets by moving lower value transactions to PCards (credit cards).
  • Manage this major procurement project from the implementation plan to managing development and execution of faster accounts payable and invoicing processes across the sector.
  • Liaise and work with other internal and external stakeholders to identify requirements for and management/administration of faster payment processes across the sector
  • Assist in advising departmentss how this may be managed and maintained at a fully operational capacity by the end of 2018.

Requirements:

  • Relevant tertiary education and/or broad industry experience in the delivery of innovative procurement solutions in large public sector agencies or commercial enterprises
  • Experience in the areas of accounts payable and invoicing will be an advantage
  • Project Management knowledge and the ability to manage complex and competing stakeholder needs and time sensitive projects 
  • Excellent stakeholder relations and negotiation skills.
  • High level communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
  • Hold a current driver’s licence
