About the role
Based at Wacol, The Park – Centre for Mental Health is the only forensic mental health campus in Queensland and is responsible for providing psychiatric services across the state. Registrar/PHO positions are located across all areas of our forensic service and most are accredited for the Advanced Certificate in Forensics Psychiatry with the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrist.
The Registrar / Principal House Officer (PHO) provides medical services under the supervision of Consultant Psychiatrist that are evidence-based, efficient, effective and equitable to consumers within a public health setting. Registrar / PHOs are expected to acquire necessary skills and knowledge to satisfy the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (RANZCP) Australian Medical Board requirements in order to practice as a specialist.
