The senior Podiatrist will be required to deliver high level clinical Podiatry services based on current Best Practice Guidelines to consumers of Townsville Community and Older Persons Health Service, including clients with chronic disease and ‘high risk' feet including amputations, foot ulcerations, peripheral neuropathy, peripheral vascular disease and gross foot deformities.
Types of services available from Townsville Community Health Services include:
- Health assessment and referral.
- Discipline specific interventions: Social Work, Psychology, Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Nursing, Speech Pathology, Nutrition and Dietetics, Podiatry and Exercise Physiology.
- Liaison with hospitals, General Practitioners nd other services or agencies.
