About the role

The Nurse Unit Manager embeds productive working relationships within the Adolescent Inpatient Unit and across other programs within the Mental Health Service Group so as to provide a therapeutic environment which conveys hope, optimism and a belief in recovery to consumers, their family and/or carers and the wider community.

  • Remuneration package of up to $133,928 p.a. comprising salary range of $107,804 - $117,037 p.a (Nurse Grade 7), five weeks recreational leave with loading (17.5%), and employer contribution to superannuation (12.75%).

Mandatory Requirement

  • Bachelor of Nursing (or equivalent)
  • Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification and registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and possession of a current practising certificate.

Highly Desirable

  • Relevant post-registration and/or tertiary qualifications in mental health nursing.
  • Credentialed status with the Australian Collect of Mental Health Nurses (ACMHN). If not credentialed with ACMHN or willingness to undertake and complete the requirements for certification as Credentialed Mental Health Nurse.
  • Appointment as an Authorised Mental Health Practitioner (AMHP) under the Mental Health Act 2000 or the willingness to undertake and complete the requirements for appointment.
  • This position requires the incumbent to operate a class “C” motor vehicle and an appropriate licence endorsement to operate this type of vehicle is required.
