The opportunity
This position is based in Alpurrurulam, approximately 250 kilometers from Mt Isa on the Northern Territory / Queensland border.
The Municipal Works Supervisor position is responsible for supervising a team to safely and efficiently provide municipal services as directed by the Area Manager.. These duties include:
- Manual tasks relating to the upkeep of the community (eg garbage collection, mowing, whipper snipping)
- Daily maintenance program for tools and machinery
- Operation of plant and equipment
- Supervision and training of staff
- Ensure works depot is maintained in a clean and tidy condition
