The Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) works in partnership with 15 National Boards to implement the national regulatory scheme for health professionals. The purpose of health practitioner regulation is to protect the public by ensuring that only health practitioners who have the skills, qualifications and knowledge to provide safe care are registered.

Reporting to the Senior People and Culture Business Partner – Regulatory Operations, the People and Culture Business Partner is responsible the provision of high quality and effective human resource advice and services for line manager and employees in all facets of their employment.

This involves providing consultancy and advice through the provision of high level, accurate and timely information supporting both proactive and reactive issues including but not limited to employee relations, workforce planning, performance management, talent management and other HR functions and activities.

In this role you will:

  • Be the primary contact point and deliver advice and support to managers in relation to employee relations matters providing pragmatic and fit for purpose advice for the purposes of resolving issues and queries, escalating more complex issues when appropriate
  • Consult, advise and coach managers on people and organisational needs to ensure alignment with business strategy and desired organisational culture
  • Support managers in effectively managing employee performance and development plans
  • Support managers in identifying training needs, reviewing individual training and development plans and developing the training plans for cost effective training delivery
  • Support manager’s and work closely with the internal recruitment team to ensure all recruitment activities are in line with operational needs and policy guidelines Maintain the integrity of information by ensuring the accuracy of information contained in the human resources information system and personnel records

As the ideal candidate, you will demonstrate the following:

  • Have relevant tertiary qualifications or experience in a Human Resources discipline
  • Several years’ experience in HR management including application of workplace legislation, with knowledge of contemporary HRM practices
  • Demonstrate professional, proactive, accurate, efficient, confidential and customer focused advice
  • Exemplary communications skills with the ability to confidently engage with stakeholders and peers at all levels
  • Experience in the development and implementation of performance reviews, development plans and anticipate training needs
