The City’s Infrastructure Engineering team is seeking to appoint an experienced individual to assist the Construction & Maintenance Coordinator too deliver infrastructure projects and maintenance programs for the repair, maintenance and construction of the City’s infrastructure.
The position is responsible for the organisation and motivation of infrastructure maintenance crews, so as to ensure that they complete all planned works in accordance with specifications/standards, and that they be completed on time, on budget, whilst maintaining a safe working environment for all.
You will also work towards achieving the following objectives of the role:
- Ensuring that all works under direct control are planned, resourced and delivered on time and within budget.
- Maintain accurate work records (not limited to daily timesheets and CRM request forms), for self and others within direct control.
- Liaise with public utilities as required.
- Exercise a duty of care to ensure a safe work environment for self and others.
- Develop and maintain a high standard of service to both external and internal customers.
- Report and where appropriate take immediate corrective action on any faults, accidents or maintenance requirement of machinery (plant) and safety issues under direct control.
- Maintain accurate work records, cost/job sheets, timesheets for self and others within direct control.
- Supervise contractors carrying out work within the City in accordance with ES1 specifications and verify invoices for payment.
- Undertake asset audits of the City’s infrastructure
To be successful in this role, you will hold a Diploma/Certificate of Engineering or Civil Construction Management or have equivalent experience. You will possess excellent interpersonal and communication skill and be able to influence others.
