The Town of Cottesloe is seeking an experienced and multi skilled Governance Officer to join our Executive Services team. This permanent position will be instrumental in the delivery of multiple support services across different branches within the Town. This role provides best practice governance support to all standing Committees, including end-to-end meeting coordination and development of agendas, minutes and attachments.
The successful applicant must be able to demonstrate significant, administrative governance experience at an equivalent level, including provision of administrative support to committees, preferably within a public sector, legal or compliance based environment. To be considered for this position you must be able to demonstrate exceptional time management and organisational skills, together with a proven ability to prioritise tasks and operate effectively in a demanding workplace.
Reporting directly to the Deputy Chief Executive Officer, you will play a significant role in contributing to the day-to-day running of Committee administration, and will provide immediate support to the Governance Coordinator in multiple aspects. This permanent, full time position is offered subject to the satisfactory completion of a 3 month probationary period. The Town of Cottesloe reserves the right to extend this probation as necessary.
