What you'll be doing

Provide expert clinical advice to patients, carers and other health care professionals within a defined specialty to deliver high quality clinical services in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.

Skills and Knowledge

  • Appropriate tertiary (Masters level) qualifications relevant to specialty with minimum of three years working in that speciality field with current nursing/midwifery registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • Demonstrated clinical expertise and proven ability to provide clinical leadership in the provision and development of clinical practice utilising evidence based research.
  • Demonstrated ability to work within a multidisciplinary team and an ability to identify and improve opportunities to enhance continuity of care between the speciality, primary care providers and community based services.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop, implement, present and evaluate education, clinical procedures and policies to staff and the community.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with high level time management, problem solving, analytical and organisational skills.
  • Demonstrated competency in written and verbal communication, report writing and research skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to implement changes and develop direction in clinical practice through planning, quality management and research.
