About us
The Anzac Memorial Building, located in Hyde Park South, is NSW?s principal war memorial. It was dedicated in 1934 to commemorate the courage, endurance and sacrifice of Australians who served in the First World War. It was rededicated in 1984 to honour all Australians who have served in wars and peacekeeping missions. On 23 April 2010, the Anzac Memorial was included on the State Heritage Register as recognition of its heritage significance. As Australia marks the 100^th anniversary of the First World War, the NSW Government is enhancing the Anzac Memorial - the ?Centenary Project? - which will allow the Memorial to tell the stories of NSW?s involvement in all wars and peace-keeping missions while honouring those who have served. This includes the development of new exhibition spaces and a dedicated Auditorium for education and lifelong learning.
About the role
The Anzac Memorial Learning Program is a new education offering that incorporates a suite of workshops, seminars and events. Through imaginative and inspiring approaches, we aim to open up the skills and resources within the Memorial and provide opportunities for students, teachers and members of the public to explore our history, artwork, artefacts and architecture in creative and engaging ways. Our small, tight-knit team of casual Education Presenters is key to providing a quality and meaningful experience for people of all ages who encounter the Memorial?s programs.
