The company
The Chamber of Minerals and Energy of Western Australia (CME) is the peak resources sector representative body in Western Australia. CME leads policy development on issues impacting on the resources sector, promotes the value of the sector to the community and provides an avenue through which members and stakeholders can collaborate.
The position
The Manager, People and Communities, will focus primarily on leading industry input into workplace health and safety legislation review and reform through the leveraging of relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
The successful candidate
To be considered for this exciting opportunity the successful candidate must be able to demonstrate a record of achievement in workplace health and safety policy development, advocacy and issue management relevant to the Western Australian resources sector.
In addition, the successful candidate will thrive on the opportunity to lead, influence, make decisions and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders in a collaborative manner.
Skills and qualifications
- Relevant tertiary qualification.
- 5+ years relevant post-graduate experience.
- Current working knowledge and experience relevant to the Western Australian resources sector.
- Experience with workplace health and safety policy, advocacy and legislation.
- Excellent communication, consultation and networking skills.
- Excellent analytical, project management and research skills.
- Ability to use initiative and solve problems.
- Sound planning and organisational skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
