Once again Osborne Richardson have been enlisted by our colleagues at Logan City Council to source an exceptional Development Assessment Engineer to join the fun in their Development department. No short-term contracts here either, on offer is a beautiful 5 month role which has every chance of continuing on and on after the initial period.
With such a great role, we have to bring our clients only the most outstanding candidates, so please ensure that you have the skills and experience to undertake the duties, which are as follows:
Development administrative duties including supervision of -
• Operational works;
• Pre-start meetings;
• Sub-grade inspections;
• Stormwater and sewer access inspections;
• Water supply and sewage reticulation inspections;
• Pre-seal inspection;
• On and Off Maintenance Inspections
• Silt Management;
• Evaluating Bond amounts
• Code compliance inspections for Class II-IX buildings;
• Building audit inspections (Civil Works);
• Maintain a record of operational works;
• Assess as is constructed plans.
You will also be comfortable providing technical advice relating to Development applications and assisting the Operational Works Coordinator in the preparation of standard drawings and technical guidelines for development works.
To get yourself in the best possible position to be successful in this role, you will have:
- Associate Diploma in Civil Engineering or equivalent. Alternatively, significant experience in an identical role
- Local government experience in the assessment of development operational works applications is essential.
- Superb communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Excellent ability to work as part of a team
