QR are looking for a highly motivated individual to perform deep dive analysis in regard to the organisational performance, develop insightful enterprise business information and prepare reports that measure the success of the Queensland Rail Vision and Strategic Objectives.

We are looking for a dynamic, strategic thinker who has a passion for influencing change using exceptional stakeholder engagement skills to commence into a fixed term position until January 2019.

Your high level verbal and written communications skills will be an asset in this position. This role is for an individual with a natural curiosity to ask questions, research and learn in the interests of career development and improving transport outcomes for Queensland. 

Position Responsibilities

 

  • Perform deep dive analysis to identify trends and effectively communicate opportunities to improve business performance.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to develop and deliver insightful, holistic enterprise performance information that measures the success of the Queensland Rail Vision and Strategic Objectives.
  • Design and develop effective Enterprise Performance Management solutions and regularly review and revise processes to eliminate red tape, raise innovation and identify opportunities to improve business practices.
  • Conduct and supervise as required analysis for Board and Executive papers, presentations, corporate plans and other documentation in support of strategy development, benchmarking, regulatory planning and performance measurement.
  • Perform compliance, regulatory and contractual reporting, in accordance with the enterprise reporting governance framework.
  • Foster organisational performance knowledge and analytical capability through the provision of effective business performance frameworks, systems, processes and communication.
  • Collaborate with other teams in Strategy and Insights to ensure the integration of strategic, benchmarking and performance analysis into relevant documentation.

To be considered for this position you will need to demonstrate:

 

  • High level of analytical skills, including the ability to consolidate large volumes of data and information into meaningful insights.
  • High level of problem solving skills to interpret business performance and trends, provide meaningful insight, draw conclusions, identify improvement opportunities or highlight data management issues.
  • High level of communication skills, including the ability to create targeted, effective reports which translate data into meaningful information and recommend solutions.
  • Sound level of skill in operating at a senior level and in a regulated business environment with emphasis on corporate planning, governance and government relations.
  • Sound level of skill to apply high level strategic concepts in the development of enterprise performance frameworks, tools and products.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel including data interpretation, macros and complex formulae.

Base salary starting point from $103,000 plus Superannuation
