Manager, Strategic Projects
- $116,863 - $156,387 (Plus Superannuation)
- Fixed Term - 12 Months
- Usual hours of work: Full Time (flexibility may be available)
- Usual work location: 121 Exhibition Street, Melbourne (flexibility may be available)
The Manager, Strategic Projects works within the Tourism, Events and Visitor Economy Branch (TEVE) of the Creative and Visitor Economies Division. This role is an opportunity to work with the Senior Executive and Minister's Office to provide advice and leadership to the TEVE.
Reporting to the Director, TEVE, this challenging and dynamic role will drive policy development, and provide leadership to the Senior Executive and Minister's Office on coordination and briefings and media releases.
A senior role within the division, some of the key responsibilities will be:
- Delivery of private sector visitor economy investment proposals
- Strategic planning to address issues affecting the Victorian economy
- Establishing creative and collaborative partnerships with key stakeholders and networks
The successful applicant will need to have proven project management experience across the entire project life-cycle. Additionally, applicants will need:
- An understanding of visitor economy drivers and public private tourism developments
- Ability to problem solve and provide advice and solutions, along with the ability to understand the organisational environment
- Exceptional written communication skills and ability to prepare complex documentation
- Strong stakeholder engagement and verbal communication skills
