The Department of Justice delivers legal, court and supervision services to the people of NSW by managing courts and justice services, implementing programs to reduce crime and re offending, managing custodial and community-based correctional services, protecting rights and community standards and advising on law reform and legal matters.
The Anti-Discrimination Board of NSW (the Board) fulfils a vital role for the community by promoting anti-discrimination, equal opportunity principles and policies throughout NSW.
About the role
The Manager is responsible for managing the enquiries made to the Anti-Discrimination Board (ADB) and for ensuring that complaints are managed in the most streamlined and efficient way through the development of appropriate policies and procedures for efficient complaint handling.
Together with the other members of the Board's Management Team you will be responsible for
? Developing strategic plans and manage all the services and functions of the ADB ensuring Officers of this Branch, including regional offices are able to deal with enquiries from the community
? Identify, assess and conciliate complaints impartially and be able to work within the specific legislative framework.
Essential Requirements
? Relevant qualifications or high-level relevant experience in a field or fields related directly to the core work of the role and the Anti- Discrimination Board.
? Thorough knowledge of NSW anti-discrimination law and case law. A working knowledge of interstate and federal anti-discrimination and related law eg industrial relations law and case law.
? Superior knowledge and expertise in complaints management and in alternate dispute resolution.

? Excellent time management and administrative skills with the ability to assess, prioritise and complete set tasks on time
