Your new company
Our client in the public sector has a fantastic reputation across Australia. In line with an extensive growth strategy they require an ongoing temporary Purchasing Officer to join their company to contribute to the existing Procurement team. This company has a great stance in the market and can offer a long term assignment for the right person as well extensive training and development programs.
Your new role
Reporting to the Procurement Manager you will join the Procurement and Supply Chain function, supporting the department as required. You will ensure that the ERP work-flow and decision-making processes are clear and contribute to the enabling function to deliver results in a timely, effective manner. This role will involve all aspects of purchasing administration, a complete understanding of the purchasing function and other duties that are delegated from the Procurement Manager.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role you will have purchasing experience with a complex environment. Ideally you will have strong ERP experience and strong working knowledge of how a successful purchasing department operates. Strong interpersonal communication skills are a must, combined with the ability to hit the ground running.
