UGL currently has an opportunity for a highly experienced Scheduler/Planner to join the Rail and Defence division team in Henderson, Western Australia.
 
The Scheduler/Planner is responsible for the preparation and management of External Maintenance Availabilities (EMA’s)/Maintenance Window Opportunities MWO’s) – Integrated Project Master Schedules and resultant management information for project production controls.
 
Responsibilities include but not limited to;
  • Develop and maintain Integrated Project Master Schedule (IPMS) for EMA’s and MWO’s where NSM is identified as the Lead Industry Participant (Lead IP);
  • Assist in development and maintenance of IPMS where NSM is not Lead IP for the project by providing timely and accurate tasking schedule data to the Lead IP assigned Scheduler;
  • Regularly analyse IPMS and manage schedule variance and float;
  • Produce and evaluate project management information from IPMS;
  • Ensure all planning interfaces and inter-dependencies are fully captured in the IPMS;
  • Produce and maintain critical path analysis and key event/milestones plan;
  • Identification of quantitative schedule risk through analysis of IPMS;
  • Support the Production Manager in preparation of weekly project reports and ad-hoc reports to NSM management;
  • Directly engage with Subcontractors and Project Supervisors to obtain IPMS data and updates;
  • Identify and report IPMS conflicts, issues and risks;
  • Offer solutions that support the de-confliction of Subcontractor and other IP activity;
  • Prepare and maintain Inspection, Test and Trials Schedule;
  • Develop and report project health indicators;
  • Ensure assigned projects have efficient scheduling/planning including float and resource allocation;
  • Regularly review IPMS to optimise timely completion of contracted works;
  • Draft impact statements for project growth work to support the Project Subcontract Coordinators and Production Manager;
  • Propose methodologies for communicating project schedule performance as appropriate; and
  • Support the development of IPMS processes and procedures for the NSM Business Management System.
 To be successful in this role you will need the following;
 
Essential skills
  • Demonstrated experience in a similar role
  • Intermediate in Microsoft Project and Excel and proficient in other Microsoft Suite programs;
  • Competent in the use of SAP and thorough experience in the use of Primavera
  • Desirable skills
  • Experience with other scheduling software (Open Plan Professional, Acumen fuse, Primavera Risk Analyser)
  • Knowledge of Earned Value Management and Systems
  • Intermediate in Microsoft Project and proficient in Excel
    Essential Compliance Requirements
  • Must either hold, or be eligible to obtain an Australian Defence Security Clearance
