Legal Policy Experts
Seeking candidates who ideally have experience working in a policy area or experience working within legislative frameworks.
Specific duties / responsibilities for the section includes:
· Casework – the review of complex applications for background checks.
· Providing assistance to department staff on specific operational, policy and legal matters.
· Assisting with the legal and policy issues and implementation arrangements for reforms (including regulatory design and development) to expand the scope of background checking;
· Assisting to support the Departmental Executive across a number of policy areas including serious and organised crime, justice and national security related committees, boards and councils.
